Low to no cost lower
Here is the 58 before the axle flip.
Here is the after.
I had to take the bumpers off and cut them in half. I had to do the same in the front.
I took the box off to paint the back of the cab and front of the box. I want new shocks so it's going to cost me a few bucks. But for the most part it costs zero so far.

Raise/lower, either way, the part I like is the not buying a lot of stuff from a catalogue. I think I asked on an earlier post. How does flipping the axles lower the truck? I know 4x4 travel trailer guys who 'flip the axle' on their trailer and it raises it. For instance a 3" drop front axle flipped over gives 6" of lift. I agree with custom cab that it has a nice stance and some guys spend a small fortune to get that look. Nice work! Looks like someone crashed a '54 chev truck through your shop wall.......

The term "axle flipping" is deceiving. It just means setting the axle on top of the springs instead of the springs sitting on top of the axles. My shop is only a few months old. The 54 was in my garage at truck level and I made the lights come on everytime some came in the door. It scared to many people so my wife made me put in the new shop. It still lights up, but only by a switch.

I did notch both the front and the back. The only thing left to do is find some short shocks for the front. I have not driven the truck. My shop is behind my house and the drive way down to it is too icey. So I have just kept working on the truck until the drive way drys up. I started the paint work last night.

I got them at a swap meet for my 39 chevy truck. I used them as a mock up. I had 2" axle perches for the final assembly. That was so I could use the stock shocks. I can take a few photos if you would like. The box is off the truck.
