My new 1956 F100

Yesterday I drove 2.5 hours to go look at this 56 f100 that was for sale and ended up buying it. Its going to be a major project but seems to all be there. I'm sure i'm going to have a million questions. It has a 69 F100 360 in it that only has 68000 miles and it sounds great. Right now the drive shaft isn't hooked up because when they put in the new engine the transmission linkage was different from the original driveshaft. The guy told me all I would need to do would be to find the correct sleeve, or is it called a "Slip yoke"? and then replace the old original with that and use the original drive shaft. does that all sound right? its a manual 360 out of a 69 f100 manual 3 on the tree.
The trucks all apart right now.

The easiest way is to take both driveshafts to a shop and have them graft them together to make one that fits your truck. You can do the measurements yourself or (better option) trailer the truck down to the shop and let them determine the correct overall length and do the mods.

Good luck with the project. You found the best site out there for help.

I only have the original Drive shaft. I can't just buy a correct slip yoke for my 360 transmission?

In 1956 they made, as an option, F-100's with a long bed, same bed as a F250 but the truck had all F-100 weight limits.
