My 1999 f-250 super duty is currently a switch operated transfer case. What all parts do I need to change over to manual shift transfer case? Pics would be great.
I don't have a link but from what I remember you may need to get a manual shift transfer case or somehow hook up the manual shifter in place of the electric one, cut a hole in the floor (should be marked there), get the shifter boot and plastic plate. Someone figured it out to get the 4x4 light to come on when shifted. Keep searching.
I found a thread, but all the links for the pictures were dead. Every thread I saw on it people were manufacturing their own linkage.
You will have to make your own linkage because there are two different transfer cases, one is manual shift and the other is ESOF which is designed for the electronic shift motor.
And the ESOF transfer case does not have a neutral position.
