Being a 1990 350 with a 460, it's almost certainly an E4OD transmission...the AOD was only offered behind small-blocks. Your OD button is down low on the right side of the steering column, if memory serves.
Your problem, however, will be better solved by those who better understand the inner workings of the mysterious automatic transmission, as I think they run on magic.

Yes, E4OD. I'm running about 2600 rpm at 55 mph. 4.10 gears.
No blinking light on the OD cancel. You can tell that it tries for OD but I just get a little slip, rpm spikes by 200 rpm and then slides back down. No OD.
Is it junk?
Dang it, pretty bummed out as I just got this thing and it seems to be in such good shape.
