just when i think i'm pretty good at what i do.....then comes along a guy like ernie that puts me in my place. ernie, my hat is off to you sir. you are certainly a master of all that you have done in that car.
how about a little background on ernie and how he acquired his skills
from me and i'm sure, most of us, thank you for sharing. i will view that video over and over again.

At my age I am convinced these people with Gods gift were born that
way and they usually dont last that long. The Jimi Hendrix'es the
great ones. I read back some time ago about a guy that was refused
a job in I think a Toyota plant down south that had no schooling could
not speak english well. He took a regular 1947 style Chev. p.u. and
scaled it to a S10. And the only real S10 stuff was the drive line.
Just the hood badge alone, I suppose it could be cnc'd but he has no
machines just a torch and hammer. The truck absoultly gorgeous just
like this Mercury. And no plastic filler either He disected the whole thing.
If I remember he either drove it through the Toyota office or something
like that and told them to stick it you know where. How does one
even make Chevy hubcaps that small with old world tools????
