Radiator Support, Which Ones Fit?

My radiator support rusted on my 2000 F-150 Lariat 4 wheel drive that has 4 doors. I was looking on ebay and found one for $86.07 but am not sure if it will work for my truck. It does not indicate 4x4 and 4 doors. I wouldn't think it would change how it was made but am not sure as there are different ones available. Can anybody help me figure out if it will work or not, if it is a standard sized item or if I need to buy a more expensive one.

Welcome to FTE and as far as I know, there is no difference in the radiator core support for our trucks.

Thumbs up

I actually ripped the front end off a junked 2001 F150 with 4WD to confirm its radiator support was the same as that on my 2001 F150 2WD. They are probably all the same. I still felt better after I took photos of my rusted out OEM support to match them up with what I recently bought over the counter at LMC for $108, sales tax included. Shipping a mismatched radiator support back to a seller can cost more than the support itself.

They are wanting around $200 locally (had to be ordered) for the part vs $88. Two places locally quoted me one price on the phone and when I went to the store to get it, they quoted me a much higher price. I figured it would be worth paying a little more for the part locally to make sure the part would work but not more than double the price. There was also a satisfaction guarantee where I got mine where they pay return shipping if I was not satisfied. The shop said they could modify the part to make it work and they could make the welds better than factory if it did not exactly fit. I am also going to have them oil the part to help prevent corrosion.
