I am new to this forum, but I need a complete 6.4L Motor. I'm having a really hard time finding a used one that is anywhere close to me. Does anyone have any advice, or happen to have seen one recently?

I saw one recently on craigs list. I'm not sure which one but it is probably in florida, either fort myers, miami, or atlanta. Don't remember the price but I do recall thinking it was a very good price. Look in auto parts/F350

 

We are close to Tampa, Florida. But at this point we wouldn't mind paying shipping costs if the engine price is right.

Have you tried Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market ? It's a database search for junkyards. There's a bunch on there now.

Wouldn't think it be to hard to find one around here as Tom pointed out. Check Craigs list, there's some guy in Howell that has lots of Ford stuff and there's a place up in the thumb that's always got southern sheet metal parts, they might have a stray 6.4 laying around.

 

You can find them on e-bay as well. Just go to e-bay and type in 6.4 engine in the search bar. I would steer clear of engines over 100,000 miles unless they are being sold with warranty even then your on the hook to put it in and pull it. I would look for engine with 60,000 miles or less if possible, the only reason for this is the higher milage engine will have problems if maintenance was not pristine IMO.
