My IPR screen was very slightly pushed in and had a few small metal shavings on it. Screen was not torn.

According to the 6.0 Bible, the HPOP and IPR comes after the oil filter, and the engine lubrication and LPOP are before the oil filter.

Are they likely to be the result of the HPOP on the way out?

Truck is getting a new HPOP installed because the old one was causing a multi-crank start when parked nose up and no problems when parked nose down so leaking shaft seal was suspected.

I hope the shavings are just a mark of the HPOP problem and not a sign of a larger 2nd problem.

Any thoughts or comments from anyone?

Edit: screen under oil cooler was not torn so I guess I'm ok now that I think about it.
