What are 1988 F250 7.3l worth?
I am looking at a 88 in good shape. It needs repairs, he is open to offers so what to start at? (I don't like low balling people, if I can help it.)
I am in Canada, and this is the best diesel I have found in my area. (well cheap, most I see are in $6,000-8,000, 1988-1995.)
Here is the ad:
1988 f250 xlt lariat 4x4 diesel
Long box extended cab
5 speed tranny shifts well
35 Procomp all terrains
Captains chairs and a decent interior
Outside paint is not very good, but not the worst!
Optima red top battery
Add a leaf and levelled
2 fuel tanks
Warn hubs
5 inch straight pipe stacks
Headache rack and a full checker plate liner for the box,
The truck does need work!
The bad
Runs like a clock! Nothing wrong motor wise drives straight and smooth.
Needs a steering shaft seal replaced, slow leak. Rear fuel tank needs a leak repaired. Front fuel tank works fine just the gauge won't tell you how much. The rear axle needs to be replaced or fixed. The threading to mount the hub is damaged and you can't mount the tire. The glow plugs need replacing but I just plug it in so it's not soo bad haha.

It really depends on the area, around here, Northern Ca, a 4x4 diesel super cab like that would bring an easy $2,500. A little less if it needed work, more if it was super nice.
From what I've seen from what some of the other Canadian members here is sounds like these trucks go for more up there.
