51 Ford Thames

Starting to make progress on my friends 51 Thames, it now has my favourite Lexus front end installed along with a mid 90s aussie Ford Fairlane rear suspension and diff partially done. Will ride on airbags in the rear.
The pedal assembly is stock with a 8 inch booster and suitable master cylinder adapted.
Will be powered by a 302 injected windsor and 4 speed auto trans.

I have never drilled out so many rivets in my life, thought it would never end LOL
Anyway, i thought some of you guys might be interested in something a little different. Pictures are in my album under 51 Thames.
Oh, and i have made a little progress on my own project 56 panel, will post some pics soon.

John

Hey Ken, if your talking about the Anglia based Thames panel trucks, this aint one of em.

This Thames was a full sized 4 or 5 ton truck with a side valve v8. Here in Australia i think they were called a Thames Husky, its kinda a not quite a COE and not quite a conventional longer nosed truck, just kinda, well, odd.

Hi Jeff...
Yes i will keep the pics and updates coming and hopefully have it driving towards the end of this year. John
