Lucky bugger haha.
EDIT: Looked back at the underside of your truck and it looks great with that POR-15 on it...... I smell a frame-off being added to this thread sometime :P
Careful with POR-15 because it's VERY UV Sensitive! Gotta get POR-15's "Chassis Coat" to put over top of the POR-15 because "Chassis Coat" IS NOT UV Sensitive. $.02!

Here's a quick update on some small projects that I have been working on lately. Last weekend I finished the Dynamat installation in the cab. Not only did I cover the door panels but I covered the floor and the back of the cab. I might get some more so I could cover the roof area and a few other small spots I had to skip because I ran out. The difference is like night and day with the noise reduction! I also installed a new Alpine amp and Sub Woofer and did some fine tweaking to the stereo system.
The black Dynamat was a PO installation. I'm not sure what he was trying to do with the pattern. I'm guessing he had some laying around and wanted to use it somewhere. I also will cover the back cab area with matching red carpet to give it a nice finished look.
Yesterday I got bored while I had my truck on the lift and I had a lot of POR-15 left over so I thought I would make the rear differential look pretty. Not too bad! I think I will do the front next after I do some work with the steering stabilizer and track down an annoying small leak that sprays (oil?) all over the front passenger side frame area.
I also scored a pair of NOS side mirrors last week. They came in the original Ford boxes with hardware and documentation. Thanks Scott79!

Thanks Aaron, I do get a lot of long stares, thumbs up and last Sunday someone shouted out their car window as I was driving with my wife "Hey that's a really nice truck man!" It was kind of neat that my wife got to see that, she doesn't always go out with me in the truck.
Candy Cane is way too valuable to me to sell. It's been my dream truck since I was 16 and I guess that's why I'm so passionate about Dentsides.
Thanks to everyone else for your kind posts. They help motivate me to go the extra mile.

Last week I got the bed liner re sprayed. My new tailgate needed the bed liner and I didn't want a miss match liner so I had the whole bed done at once.
Here's a before.
And the After.
This week I'm having the windshield replaced after a truck kicked up a few rocks on the freeway and cracked my windshield shortly after my paint job. Next weekend Candy Cane will be in a truck show in Redwood City so it's time to get out the wax and detail kit!

As my kids would say "I'm totally down with that!" Translated to That sounds like a great idea HIO! We should start a thread and get as many of us together. I know there are a few new guys in the Tri Valley area.

Awesome rig and just where did you get that mid ship tank shield again? How is your rear shock upper mount holes so worn out?
Grind rivets and replace all together or weld some washers in place to small up that hole, shocks popping out of their mount can't make for a great ride.
Once again awesome rig, and please keep up the thread, it motivates us all.
