F250 Lariat 2012 leftover vs new 2013

My dealer has a leftover 2012 with all the features I want as well as a matching 2013. I haven't gotten any numbers yet, but I'm sure I can get a smoking deal on the '12.

What does the 13 give me extra? I think it's only the sync w/ bigger screen. I also noticed the lariat ultimate package drops from $4k to $2,300 for 2013. I always like the latest gadgets, but I'll have to see how many thousand of more dollars the 13 is over the 12.

I was just recently going through the same thing. I ended up ordering a 2013. Here's why it was better for me....

On the2012, the most I could get the dealers down was $2500 under invoice. For was offering $3500 in rebates and incentives. So best case scenario was $6000 off invoice.

I got the dealers to order me a 2013 for $750 under invoice. Because I was able to order it, I was able to get it only with the stuff I needed instead of having to.accept what they had on the lots here in phoenix. The 2012 trucks here on the lots had upgraded tires, running boards, and other options that I did not want but still would have had to pay for. So the MSRP on the 2013 ended up being about $1500 cheaper than the 2012. Also, sin e I was ordering it, I was able to order it right out of the factory with the 4.30 gears which I needed since I plan on putting on over size tires. This saved me about $1800-$2000 for a gear swap that I woud have needed because all the trucks on the dealer lots have the 3.73 gears... And then add in the current $2000 in rebates..... I actually ended up being cheaper to order the 2013.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear. The sticker on this one is $61,500, he's offering $50k plus tax/tag/delivery fees (this includes the rebates). But the truck is "over-loaded", I don't need $1350 worth of 20" wheels, $500 running boards, etc. I also noticed the 2013's have the larger sync/nav screen and read they have upgraded brake calipers and who-knows-what-else. I also see that the lariat ultra luxury package is $2500 instead of $4000 in 2013. Plus it's a bad time for me to buy right now anyways- this summer will be much better for us. I think I'll pass and order a '13 or wait for news on the '14.

Long time viewer, first time poster. Congrats! Did you get a good deal since it was a 2012?

I'm looking at buying a 2012 Lariat, which is stickered at $55,000. The hanger in the window shows a new price of $46,000 with negiotiating. Anyone have any idea of they'll come down more? If so, how much? I'd think that thing has been sitting there for over a year now. I'd assume the dealer is dying to get it off the lot, since the 14s will be out soon.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Nice work! Might not be a lariat, but it looks like you got everything but the leather! How are you enjoying it?

Anyone else have experience they can share? If I can't get it within my target price, I'm not going to pull the trigger. Thanks!

I had a 06 6.0 back in 2006 I loved that truck, however, this one is better in everyway. Even without leather.

I am trying to keep this on stock to keep the warranty intact, it pulls like a beast when you shove that skinny pedal down.

that is the best part, that was advertised special. I attempted to negotiate further but the dealer was not having it, but they did pick me up at the airport 65 miles from the dealer.

I flew 350 miles to but it and drive it home. This is the last 12 they have, a very good deal also.

I was in Dallas a week ago and they were offering $10,000 off 2013s! I figure they have to be giving more than that for 2012s!!!
