Food for thought... chrome is great on a show truck but hard to keep up on a DD that sees weather. Gotta keep it clean and polished or it will pit and start to rust. If the plating wasn't the best, it will peel and rust even faster.

As for the body lift... if you plan anytime off road, you'll be rethinking that body lift. These frames flex pretty good and clearance between the bed and cab gets close. The body lift will amplify the movement and you may end up with the bed kissing the cab. My buddies has a nice half moon dent in the cab all because of his 3" body lift. Try jacking opposite corner wheels and you'll see.

Tye, yes I really like Brads trucks too, he does great work. I will post pics up soon of the chrome, once I figure out a different way to post up pics. I have been using the method of the forum codes from your gallery, but if I keep doing that my gallery will eventually fill up, and the main reason that I want to find a different way is because, most of my pics end up showing up pretty small, not that small, but smaller than I'd like. The ones that show up small are mostly the ones that I take with my phone, which is what I use to take pics most of the time. So I was thinking about the Photobucket method maybe. Anyone with any ideas for me.

Bobby, yeah I know keeping all that chrome looking good will be a challenge, but I think that I am up to it. That actually was what my Dad's plans for the truck were, for it to be a show truck, but he did plan to keep driving it, but never finished putting it back together. So its just been sitting there for almost 20 years.

I do like polishing chrome and I plan to wash the truck pretty often so, it won't be too bad. Polishing it isn't that bad except for the first time in a while, if you keep up with it its not too bad. Thats what I did most of Monday, polish chrome. God, it took forever, it got a little old after a while. But like I said it was the first time so it took a while, but it was worth it.

Also thanks for the tips on the body lift. I probably won't be doing too much offroading but probably a little bit. And if I do it won't be anything serious, because I do want to try to maintain all the work thats been done to the truck. So I don't really want to ruin it, but it is something to be concernced about. So thanks for telling me about it.

Ok. Thanks Tye. That's what I was thinking. I will have to make a photo bucket account when I get a chance, probably this weekend. Hopefully they will be bigger.

Oh yeah, Tye I just noticed your sig, why are you selling your truck?

Yeah I can understand ya on the diesel. If your not using it for towing or hauling stuff I guess you really don't need it. But I'm the opposite of you I wish my truck was a diesel, even though I really don't need it.. I've just always really like diesels and really want one, but the time will come for that.

Hey you want to trade engines with me.. Haha just kidding.. If I were to ever do an engine swap on the truck it would probably be one of 7.3 Powerstroke years, or maybe even a 6.0, because I've seen one in a 78 F250 or 350, I think and it was pretty bad a$$.

I know I've got to get some pics.. I've been getting kind of mad because I said in like 3 different threads that I would post up pics, but I've just had like no time this week. I really probably shouldn't even be on here right now.

I would actually think about if I had any money left over that I'm not planning on putting into my truck.. Still might give it a thought for the right price ....
