First I'll start off with some more pics as everyone loves pics!

4 pinion! Not really sure why they discontinued it in favor of 2 pinion for open diffs. One spider had a slight burr that I cleaned up. Eventually I'd like to get a Powr Lok but also would have to upgrade to 35 spline axles.

Added a drain plug back in as it was decontented. My dad's 1965 M-350 has it but this 1969 or my 1974 axle didn't.

Here's what my link arm is going to look like. I still need to do some finish work. The bushings are from a 90's Ford Ranger front I beam. Ain't going to bend those!

Here's a shot of the upper mount assembly.

Fenders I was 15 and 10 months old when I got the truck on July 30 2002. 4speed was even younger at the time. Weren't you also playing musical steering wheels? I can still pull some jokes but life makes you grow up a little... When are you going to man up your "girly" 302 like your Mustang?

What is that Diff out of? And I forgot about 4speed. Is he still around?

And I am going to take some gear out of the truck this year and make it extra girly Hoping to make it a lttle more economical to drive. it's a little rough on fuel for as slow as it is.

This diff is out of a "cootie bobbed" 1968 F-350 tow truck. The truck had a hacked in 1972 429 with 4spd. It was originally equipped with a Dana 70 with 4.10:1 gears but had a 1969 Dana 70 with 3.73:1. I know someone has tinkered with it as the cover has two small dints (from the inside), carrier bearing shims had puller marks and pinion oil baffle is beat to hell which I'm waiting on a new one from Ontario so I can get it back together. I should check the ring gear date code and see if it is even the original one. I decided to use this one as the ring and pinion was in better condition plus had the 4 pinion case.

My other 1974 Dana 70 is from a local caustic chemical packaging plant that a friend of the family bought for $50 for the wheels. You could have almost disassembled the truck by hand as it was so rusty. He torched the wheels and rear axle off of it. Scrapped the truck and threw the axle behind the shop. I got the axle for free but the axle needed all new wheel studs, brakes etc. This is currently holding up the rear of the truck. This one has also been messed with as the ring and pinion was made in 1980. I'm going to be using the axles out of this one in the 1969 one as it uses the normal bolts instead of the annoying stud and cone washers. I was also the "cause" of the dually build, if you already have it might as well go all the way....
