1960 F100 Multiple issues

I just got my grandfathers truck home. I've been able to track down a site for just about every part I need, except original rims and a speedometer cable. Anyone got any ideas?

I got a speedo cable from LMC truck. I have seen them NOS on a couple sites. Dennis Carpenter will have them too. Hope this helps!

You will have to place an ad in our classified section, and perhaps Craigslist. The correct "innie" wheels were used up till 64, so try salvage yards in your area also. Welcome to FTE.

willowbilly3 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I have a few of those wheels extra if you are talking about 15" for F100. Probably be kinda expensive to ship them though.

Thanks!

FJones, I looked at LMC, I couldn't find a 3 speed cable, maybe I missed it. I'll check again. I'll look at DC's site too.

Buzzard, I'll place the ad after I talk to Willowbilly. Thanks for the advice.

Spurr, I'll get some on here soon.

WB, how many do you have and how much do you want for them? 15s were stock for the 60 F100, 3 speed, straight 6, right?

Anyone know a good way to look up the VIN to get the vehicle details?

The VIN is: F10J0R30021

Here is the best investment you can make for your truck, it has the above info and answers to many more questions.

Good luck in your quest.

P.S. That a nice straight, solid looking truck your granddad had. Now its going to be hard to wipe that grin from your chin.

All of my carlite glass was clear and if I remember correctly 1959 was the first year for ford using safety glass. My original windshield is anyways. I am sure they have a 3 speed cable because that's what I bought from them! Have to admit that I had a bear of a time with drive gears... Ask for one of their catalogs, they are free.

I found the cable and I ordered a catalog. Trying to decide on the glass now. I think I'll get the laminated.
