Thanks for all the input. I forgot about Rojak's planned event. I am tentatively planning to come down as long as work doesn't get in the way. I quoted out three big jobs and if I get them they'll probably start coming in just about that time. If a different plan doesn't come up before then I throw it in the back of the F-2. I would like to get it to Jon sooner if possible. You guys know how it is when you're waiting on a part for your truck, yesterday isn't soon enough.

BTW, Doc and Fortyniner, when your posts show up below each other it's kind of confusing. I think one of you guys have to reverse your truck images or something.

We can't. We're on a mission from God.

Doc, I am still laughing!
My Houston location just doesn't help with this at all, but I think that this a great thing that you are attempting to do! I will be watching this one...

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, a half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

I don't know what I was thinking. I did haul the complete dog-house for my '53, with the hood flipped, in a full size van.

If that fit, I KNOW the 48-52 hood will fit.

If all else fails.... I have an extra hood that I can let go cheap... Can not give it away - but I would think the cost of gas would be greater than what I am asking for the hood, and I am not far from Florence, KY

Good luck though, It would be nice for him if someone was headed that way anyways.

Not sure if this helps...but I live in Mishawaka, Indiana and I am heading to Beatersville which is May 26th. I live about 2 hours east of Chicago off I-80/I-90. It may be a little late by then, but if someone wants to get it to my house I could handle getting it down to Louisville, KY no problem.
