i bought a 92 f150 302 4x4 5spd. Ive replaced the iacv, tps sensor, coolant temp sensor. i have no vac leaks. cleaned the throttle body too. no codes show up when i had it checked. still the idle is around 3000 to 4000 rpms. with or without the clutch pushed in. ive talked to so many people and no one knows what else to do. can it be the computer.

 

Have you checked that the throttle blades are fully closing?
Is the throttle cable sticking?
Any change in idle when the IAC is disconnected?
Did you check the brake booster for a vacuum leak, that's the biggest vacuum line on the motor.

 

yes ive done all of that. ive had it to 3 different shops and they dont know what to tell me. cuz ive done eveything they would have done. i talked to the ford shop in my town. an they said it could possibly be the computer.

 

Did you unplug the spout connector and see what it done?
Any change in idle speed when the IAC is disconnected?

 

yes its the same. iac is brand new
