Rear Hatch Lock Different?

Does the rear hatch come from the factory with a different key than the ignition? My key will not open the rear hatch lock, it doesn't even go in the whole way. Thanks

The back lock is notorious for getting jammed up with crud. Liberal application of WD40 multiple times will usually start to free it up.

Might be re-keyed by last owner or just real dirty, I have the same problem and haven't looked into it yet.

Probably just full of crud, mine was like that when I bought it last year. Took about 5 applications over a week of Fluid Film spray to break it loose. Then when it finally started working right I took PTFE (same stuff you use on the slip joint with teflon in it) and coated the key and lubed the lock up really well with it. Been smooth as silk since. BTW that stuff it great for any stuck lock or ignition, just coat the key with it lightly.
