Center Jump Seat Install

Hello Peps,

I just ordered a ford center jump seat and was looking for some type of instructions for removing the arm rests on the captions chairs. I have herd of others just cutting them off, but was looking for a way to salvage them in case I cant live without all my cup holders.

Thanks in Advance, Adam

It was a good excuse to pull out the shop manual.

Once u remove the armrest, there is a metal stop that sticks out. U will have to cut that off. Once that is removed and u decide to add the armrest back, they will not have a stop and will continue to fall straight down. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, it makes sense. Can the stop just be bent to clear the center seat? Any ideas for patching the hole where the armrest was? I was thinking about taking the truck to a local shop and having one of those map pockets made from the armrest material to cover the hole. But in the mean time what are others doing to hide it?

Military green duct tape might work. I have the limited unlimited trim level with 2 tone leather, if there is such a thing, The unlimited trim level. But I did get lucky and found a center jump seat out of a 02 F250 with the same 2 tone leather. =0)
