UPDATE: 2013 Plat Bigger Nitto's

Added a 2" Readylift Level and 305/50/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

First thing my wife said: "Tires are too small!". So did some here and all the rest of my family..

So exchanged today for 305/55/20's.

Looks much better and if there is a difference in the ride quality it's hard to detect. I like the steering response better with the 55's

Ha ha. Yes, for 43 years.

She's the one who also got me to trade my CTS V for the Boss 302..

The thing that makes me hesitate about buying bigger tires like that is one they are loud on the road...and two they might not have enough traction on a wet boat ramp! I seen a guy trying to back in his boat on a wet boat ramp (no algae) and his truck slid most of the way back in reverse!!! He had his family in the boat to launch it and I was like . I backed down the ramp with my Michelins with no issue at all not one slip and out the same way.

Not sure about the wet boat ramp.

No noise on highway. Now the MT vs AT tires is probably a noise issue because of tread design?

Those headlights would look awesome if you painted that inner chrome trim black.

Good job so far, truck looks sweet.

We are going to have the trim piece around the grill painted black; if I pass on your suggestion to my wife, I'm sure she will want it...

We're building a FX4 exterior on a Plat interior!

If you are going that route you should get the panel on the tailgate painted. The tailgate is the only thing I don't care for on Platinums. Besides that they are one of the best looking F150s made.
