2003 7.3, going to do a coolant flush and want to switch to no maintenance extended life.

Rotella, Delo, Fleetrite, etc are pretty difficult to find where I live. O'Reilys stocks Peak Final Charge Global but it's $25 a gallon for non diluted.

I can get the Zerex Extended Life "Extreme" coolant from Napa, non dilute for about $10 or $11 a gallon (I get store cost at Napa).

Is there any good reason I should hunt for a different, more expensive coolant?

 

Any OAT Extended Life coolant meeting CAT EC-1 spec will be fine.

I used the Zerex Extended Life Coolant formulated for diesel engines (from NAPA) for my flush in 2012. Price here was about $15 per gallon. It is a good choice.

 

It is no better or worse than any other coolant meeting Cat EC-1, Cummins 14603 or Navirstar B-1.

I use Zerex ELC in my personal vehicles. Seems to work fine.
