You are probably right, people get awfully proud of their old parts, without regard to wether or not they are rare. Now that Mummert has reproduced those - and they are very good repops - I can't see paying big bucks for old ones. His actually look better, in my opinion, than originals, without the extra casting nubs as shown in the photos.

His repops are one of the few that are equal to the originals, I bought a set of them.
Kevin, bigwin56f100,stocked up on them, thinking he'd cut a fat hog by reselling them at a tidy profit. Mummert came out with his, and he had to re-evaluate the profit potential. But he's stubborn.
He'll sit on them for awhile till the market improves.
Kevin collects cats by the hundreds, and has several barns full of old National Geographics.........LOL!

You'd be surprised how many pairs I still sell for $500. People just dont know that they are reproduced.
My stock levels have dwindled. I bet I only have 5-4 pairs left

I had the opposite experience with chevy ram horns. I used to sell all them I could find (not as much $$ as Ford ones) As soon as the re-pops came along, I couldn't give them away. a year or so ago I sent about 4-5 sets to scrap.
