6.0L Transmission Cooler Swap

This is my first post but I have followed this site for years... I have learned a lot and saved myself TONS of $$$ by the advice and info on this site so thank you all.

I know this topic has been discussed a lot and there are lots of great ideas out there... I simply wanted to post some pictures of the tranny cooler swap I did this week... Might help someone else and I'm kind of proud of how it turned out... Also I'm thick skinned so I would gladly accept some productive criticism!

Nothing different about the install of the cooler except the lines... I bent some 1/2" stainless steel tubing (.035" sidewall) that I got from the local hydraulic shop and made some hard lines for about half the replacement... I just went a different route with them than most I've seen... I used the plastic clips off a 6.0L to hold the 1/2" lines in the center and one of the original clips off a 7.3L that is on the frame rail to hold the hoses to the fan shroud.

I'm new to this so if the pic's done show let me know... I really would like to get some opinions on what I've done here.

Looks good! I thought of going that route, but my truck still has the crash bar. So, I routed mine to the right side of the core support and added an external trans filter.

That's pretty slick! I can't tell from the pic: Did you leave the OtW cooler in line, or remove it?

I've tried to make your pics appear in the post:

Reps to ya, and on your first post!

Thanks everyone... Believe me it wasn't easy to get to this point... 1/2" stainless steel tubing DOES NOT bend easily... Fortunately I only wasted about a foot practicing but it's not too pricey... And I had to find a machine shop that could flare the ends because that stuff is so hard my flaring tool wouldn't even make a mark!

ScaldedDog, sorry but what do you mean by OtW cooler???

The Oil-to-Water cooler in the bottom of the radiator. After looking at the bottom photo again, it looks to me like you did leave it in, then put the 6.0 cooler after that. Most folks, including our own Mark K and Brian from BTS, will tell you to do it exactly that way. Nice!
