What year is the truck?

For my tuneup, I did air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, and oil/filter. Couldn't hurt to flush the coolant and replace the thermostat too.

Take a look at these writeups: 2004 F250 Super Duty 4x4

Jason wrote those articles and his user name on here is 1975StroppeBaja.

Wizkid gave you a good start, about the only thing I would add would be new COP boots, and cleaning your MAF sensor. That would be about it for an engine tune-up. If you wanted to go over everything, then you could add a flush and fill for everything, transmission, transfer case, and front and rear axles. Give your brakes a good once over, maybe flush brake fluid as well.

Like he says though, we need to know the year, there's different quirks for different years.

This is just what i used on my old truck

Coolant flush - ford gold
Trans flush - valvoline mercon V
Plugs - motorcraft platinum
oil change - valvoline 5-20 durablend and motorcraft filter
transfer case - mobil 1 ATF
rear diff - mobil 1 gear oil (cant remember but think its 75-140? and it has the limited slip additive in it already) and i would just toss an 08+ ford aluminum cover on because they are cheap enough
brake fluid - valvoline synthetic brake fluid
power steering fluid flush - mobil 1 atf
pcv valve - motocraft

just what i did and fluids i like

Good choices...be he is on a budget so stocks plugs will save him $40-$50.

Stock plugs? My motorcraft platinums were only like 2.70$ each. The diff cover will save him 40-50, but if its already rusty i personally would just put an aluminum one on, but you can sand it and repaint it

I'm scared to change my plugs, I heard they break off too easy, and if they do break, you got to take the heads off and take it to a machine shop to get cleaned up?

If its a 99-04 they won't break off. You'll be fine.
