2008 Escape- door leaking water

Have 2008 Escape drivers door is allowing water to just pour down inside of door from the seal along top edge of door where you would lay your arm when driving with window down. Water goes down the window on outside and pours into door thru the speaker and down on carpet a real mess. Bought new rubber piece still does not make a tight seal. Dealership now says bring it in so we can water test the car to refund my money for $50 rubber seal. a waste they say there is no record of this problem ya ya I know Im not the 1st with this problem. I know someone out there has an answer Thanks

leaking problem

I'm having major leaking with my 08 escape hybrid. I'm not exactly sure where its leaking, so this is helpful. Getting ready to take it in. Anyone have tips? I've wetvac'd the thing so many times & its really getting annoying. I thought maybe it was leaking through the undercarriage - ??

leaking door

I found out that had leaks in two places. The first leak was up under the left side of dash behind the emergency parking brake mechanism. It was a real pain but took the whole assembly down and behind that against the left wall was a drainage tube that allowed water to drain to outside into the wheel well. the tube was not attached it was just hanging down and that explained why the entire parking brake mechanism was completely rusted. Once that was found I took the door panel off on drivers side I turned water hose on and let it run down outside of window you will see the water going into the door and drain out the bottom but what was happening was water was splashing against the clear plastic cover and running down and leaking thru the adhesive glue that hold the plastic to the door. the glue was breaking down and that is where the water was leaking and soaking the carpet. The fix was get the black spray you see on tv about stopping leaks and seal the whole door and that is what worked for me good luck
