I had a 1985 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 4" lift in it and you could still plow with it but, the angle was not right. with the 6" lift you will probably need to find a way to drop your frame brackets(push plates), on the truck, down lower. an adaptor plate or some mods to the original plates will need to be made by a fab shop. keep in mind that these plates are going to stick down at the front, under the bumper and affect your ground clearance alot. wouldn't that negate the purpose of the lift kit a little? maybe a real crafty fab shop could make up some push plates that detach easily from the frame so that in the non-plowing months you can be without them altogether. these plates have to be very very rugged as they transfer a huge amount of stress up to the frame. let us know what route you take.
