Truck Bed Mat?

Does anyone know of where I can find a truck bed mat that will have an exact fit for a 1965 Ford F100 Short Bed?

Short bed will be the same thru 1996. It might be necessary to do a bit of trimming. But this is your only choice as no one makes a bed mat for 1964/72 only.

I found a nice thick rubber one for my longbed 1966 250. I made a few straight cuts and it fits like a glove. Found it at JC Whiteney online. Seems like a lot of the fit out of the box version are for newer models.

You can buy a very nice rubber matt by the foot. It is 4 feet wide and whatever length you wish. Mine is 1/4 inch thickness, but they also have 1/2 and 3/4 inch matt.

It is called stall matt at tractor supply.

It is easy to cut, but you will have seams depending on how you lay it. One seam in the middle of the floor or 4 short seams by the wheel tubs. total cost is about 28 to fifty bucks depending on thickness.

I also used the 1/4 inch to make floor matts in my jeep.

If you want a little weight, get the 3/4 inch 4'x6' matt. My dog loves laying on it.

The one from JC Whiteny is about 4 inches wider than the bed - so no seams - and about 8 ft long. I think its about 1/2 inch thick. Good quality stuff but a little pricier.

I saw the one on JC Whiteny and is probably the way I will go unless I can find one local.

I measured the width of my truck bed today and it was 70 inches corner to corner which is 5 inches shorter than the mat at JC. Back to the drawing board...

I spotted the 1/4" mat at Tractor Supply for my 66 Flareside.. the 48" width is perfect. My question is... is the 1/4" mat heavy enough to lay without risk of flying out the back?

I went a different way. I have another pickup, off brand (Dodge, don't tell) with a wooden bed. I bought the mats that you put in front of your work bench. Sold at Home Depot and everywhere. The deal I like with them is they come in 3x3 but have lines every one foot. You can cut them easy to fit. Locking tabs on the ends. Easy in and out for cleaning. You can put in all or part if you want to show off your bed.

The biggest advantage is water doesn't collect under the mat. It protects the bed without having to pull the mat if you get caught in the rain.

I have the 1/4 inch in my work truck. It does not move at 75mph. Stays put and grips very well. No more things sliding around.
