I have one from Speedhut for my F1 which isn't driving yet, but I took it for a ride in my other truck and hooked it up to the aux plug with the antenna on the dash. It worked great, mileage and speed. You don't have to hook it to a transmission or rear and worry about the gears of the rear and tire size to calibrate it. I am sold on them.

Thanks topmoo . I've got an Autometer electric speedo and the stock 2 wire sender that came with the T5 transmission im not dead sure if it's going to work right so I wanted a backup plan.

plan A will work, I have an autometer electric and T-5. keep the T-5 sender, and wire black to black, mismatch color (red and green w/ blue stripe I think) together. it'll read 100mph at a brisk walk until you calibrate it. Note, I wouldn't hook it up till you are at the starting line for calibration.I have 300 bogus miles on my odo now.

I've heard good reviews about these things. It seems that wired mechanical speedometers and big in-dash radios with CD players are quickly becoming endangered species with restomods.

Yup, what he said. I did the same Autometer install and it works great.
