What Im up against pics

Here are some pics of my project 64 F250 long bed. I bought it for $900. It has a fair amount of rust in the kick panels (shown) and beneath the kick panels. I have already cut out the panels and made new ones using 16 gauge steel. It needs a lot of work but it runs and drives. Let me know if the link works.

Rust repair is not for amateurs. For your sake I hope you are an expert. Many here have made repairs on worse trucks. So it can be done. I personally would pass on a truck that rusted. Search through here for pictures and advice from experts that have done this work. Good luck and keep us posted. We love pictures.

I am afraid I'm a bit over my head on this one. I'm just trying to get $900 worth of experience out of it now. I have done some similar projects with almost as much rust (most recent being a 65 Chevy Corvair). Any suggestions based off the pics is always appreciated.

I'm not sure of the timeframe you are working within on the F250, however if time is not a factor, I have found that working on one area or piece at a time helps elevate that feeling of being overwhelmed. If you tear into the truck all at once, odds are you may end up with a pile of truck parts in the garage for a very long time. Working on these trucks can be therapeutic but can also teach your kids a whole new vocabulary when things don't go the way you want them to !!

I appreciate the advice. I'm no stranger to rust and other repairs but the area that is rusted seems to make this project much more advanced than I initially expected. I will try to post pics of all the metal fabrication I do and will be open to criticism. I'm more worried about doing it right than my ego.
