Just pull the valve cover and replace the gasket.....use a thin layer of non-hardening make-a-gasket compound on both sides of the gasket.
Not a good idea on his truck. the intake is one half, and the head is the other half. The gasket maker will contract and expand at different rates. Felpro makes a blue silicon gasket that does well. You still will have to put permatex at the 2 spots where the intake meets the head, which BTW, is probably where the oil leak is.

NO NO NO. he'll fill your motor with Plaster of Paris. The oil leak will stop, but only because the motor locked up!!!
