Want to level the truck but keep front axle weight rating

I'm looking at different leveling kits for my 1999 F250. 246k on the clock so it seems like I might as well replace the front springs if I'm doing it. The question is do I get replacement front springs with a block type lift kit or a full spring replacement kit like the this one Ford Leveling Suspension Lift Kit
I don't want to end up losing any weight weight rating on the front axle with after market springs and I cannot find specs on any of the kits. Anyone have any thoughts or are you running a leveling kit now?

I run a spring-hanger style leveling kit. All of the components are much beefier than the stock parts they replaced. I can't imagine the axle's weight rating is adversely affected at all. Unfortunately, I don't think Rubicon Express does Superduty leveling kits anymore. When I installed it 7 years or so ago, it was a highly regarded kit.

By axle weight rating j was referring to the spring weight rating. I haven't been able to find ratings for any aftermarket kits.

If your going to replace springs anyway, you should get x code springs for the front. It will level your truck and increase your weight rating

I can get the block type kit with hardware for ~$100 so I would only need a helper if I put something heavy on the front (I understand you're using it for lift though). Otherwise its along the same line as the X code springs which I have looked at in the past and heard they were super stiff (obviously they would be stiffer than springs with lower ratings like the ones I have now) and I don't want to sacrifice the ride of the truck. It's my DD and I'm commuting up to 180 miles/day so I don't want to get too beat up.
Does the Helper make the front end stiff? Same with the X codes, do you notice it to be stiffer than other springs?
Is anyone running a Ruff Country, Rancho, or other spring replacement leveling kit?
On a side note, do you need to replace your springs if they're not broken? The truck is almost 14 years old now with 246k on it. That's a lot of weight to hold up with the 7.3.

my truck is a f-350 so its a stiff ride anyway, but i didnt think it changed the ride much.
you can look at your springs to see what condition the plastic spacer between the springs is in. that will give you an idea of how warn they are. mine was in real good shape still but i done the helper because i didnt want blocks and it was cheaper than other lifts.

I have no experience with x codes, but I heard they ride the same. You can get New V codes and do a mini spring pack to level the front with blocks in the rear. I got a mini spring pack and 350 blocks in the rear on my truck and the ride was not changed at all.

Hi

I just went with "X" springs on my L"99 because of the heavy plow. The orig. "T" springs weren't cutting it and forget about being level.

The "X" springs did what they were supposed to for the plow but without it rides the same. The truck now sits level and looks much better.

If you don't mind, what did you pay for the springs and where did you get them? I guess this would be the way to go if I can swing the $. Then I won't have to worry about putting a plow on the truck sometime in the future.

Hi

I don't mind at all. These were from a yard and came off a 2002 F350 - they were $75 each. They had all the hardware since they were unbolted from the donor truck rather than cut and hacked.

I would recommend them if you can find a pair near you. I used car-parts.c*m to locate them.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I need new tires and was thinking of bumping up a size to 287-75-16s so it would be nice to level the truck out too.

If you buy new I would buy FORD springs. I have not had good luck with aftermarket springs matching factory ride or quality.

It seems like the aftermarket kits all come with an upgraded track bar, is this a selling point or something important to consider...?
