undercarriage dressup?

hey guys im going to painting most of the bodypanels soon but am wondering how to dress up the undercarriage once the paint is done.

theres alot of rust visible through the fenderwells and the frame under the middle of the truck.

should i bother sandblasting it a bit to remove the flaky bits of rust.?

is there a do it yourself kind of sandblasting one can do at home for minimal cost?

or should i just get a few cans of bedliner or gallon of rollon and hope it rolls on/sprays on and stays on?

Neutralize the rust and go check out some POR-15 rust treatment.
