Ive been searching for some chrome or polished valve covers for my 460 but nobody seems to make any for the EFI motors....what are my options? I was thinking of getting an extra pair of stock covers and sending them off to be polished since they are aluminum (right??) as to reduce down time. Anyone have a set they would like to sell? It is for a 1989 model, California truck (if that makes a difference). Are they still available from Ford?

 

I went through same thing when I had to replace the heads on mine. Unfortunately I was unable to find any chrome valve covers. So I ended painting the heads and valve covers the same color as the truck.
