ok so i was poking around the junk yard the other day and came across a bricknose f350 that had captains seats with a center cosole i wondering if they will bolt up in my 93 f150 or if ii will have to make modifications
Like Brad said, the body style of the donor matters. The model year seems to matter in some cases as well, at least as it relates to seat height. I can't say I've entirely figured that part out yet, just know that it's something to be aware of.
yea this truck was a 4 door [supercab] so there is no way i can bolt these up without making some modifications to the floor pans thanks for the help guys

I think you may be getting your terms confused. Supercab and Extended cab are the same thing - limited space back seats. Crew cab is the big one with full-size rear doors.
Supercab is the same layout as the Bronco and as such, they are commonly found with bucket/captain's chairs. Although it can be done, these seats don't readily swap over to a regular or crew cab due to mounting and height issues. I *think* this statement may not hold up for pre-1990 Bronco seats, but I need to explore that further. And yes, this would make it a mid 8th-generation change, not a clean 7th to 8th gen change.
BTW, what exactly is the difference between a bucket seat and captain chair? My favorite U-Pull charges $10 for a bucket seat and $20 for a captain chair.

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm thinking I read somewhere that captain chair seats have arm rests and buckets don't.
