Hello and 85 F350 DRW pick up 4wd conv

Hello all.
Been searching the web for some time..Been reading across a couple of forums...on 2wd-4wd swaps and d60 swaps..
My project first started with a super low budget idea of swapping in a D44hd from an 86 F250 6.9 ...made sense at the time, my truck was 6.9/t19 and so was the donor, it was also just about free..
I went through the trouble of figuring how to properly convert the 2wd crossmember to accept the axle pivot brackets from the 4wd set up.
Then it happened, I found a complete d60 setup from an 89'ish 7.3/zf for a very good price.. perfect, diesel springs, correct ratio, steering and proper lentgh 350 cv shaft.
I thought I had it all figured out until I realized my BW 1345 transfer case didnt made with the double cardon joint of the 350 shaft..
I have posted in the driveline section but figured I would post up here in the Bullnose section.
I have read where guys were using the 3/4 ton shaft and some couldnt..It seems to me it had a lot to do with tranny/transfer case combos dictating slightly diff length front shafts between the years, considering donor truck and where the stuff was going.
Contacted one of the driveline shops and it seems the 350 yoke has been discontinued..
I then got the bright idea that I could swap the centering yoke out for one of a different series, but no such luck finding double cardon parts with the 1-1/8" dia caps..
So until I can find a TC output yoke, I am hoping I can get away with the f250 shaft..we are talking factory height here I think...hard to say just yet...donor springs are definately modified..2 major leafs, and two smaller..
Still have to come across a set of DRW hubs and a new set of backing paltes/rotor sheilds...
Well thats my story for now, hoping maybe someone that has been here before can help shed some light..
My other two possibilities are the donor BW1356 case(read its a diff spline yoke) and a bud that has a NP 205 F350 case, from a late 70's...Im guessing its a diff yoke as well...
thanks

I thought I read the output yokes could be swapped from the f250 style to the f350 style, if they are the same brand transfer case. I guess the donor you got the axle from didn't have a 1345 transfer case? You just take the center nut loose and swap them around.

And like you I have read that some guys just use the non-cardon jointed f250 shaft.

Hi. I'm pretty certain the donor was a 1356 paired with the zf 5 speed. Although there might be a slight possibility that the 1345 made it to the next generation..it might be worth a double-check at the yard.. maybe trucks still running the C6 still had the 1345?
