Please help me, wheel question

This entire project has been 2 steps forward and 5 back EVERY single time ive worked on it.

Its a 1968 F350 dually

How do i convert to late model single piece wheels. I have the wheels because I read they would work. Now that I bought 6 new tires and mounted them onto my late model wheels, I find that the late model wheels are hub centric and the early wheels are lug centric.

Would it be as easy as changing the hub on the drum. Or????????????

Thanks in advance,
Will

Did you buy wheels for up to a 98 F-250/350 or did you buy for a 99+ Superduty? The Superduty wheels use a 170mm pattern. I believe that you can get a newer Econoline brake drum as they still use a Dana 60, but I'm not sure on the wheels for an Econoline.

I think I found the proper way to do this. If the junkyard has tr parts I think I need and it works,I'll post up the fix.

The rear hubs and drums are different with DRW's, so you'll have to get SRW hubs/drums, plus non metric SRW's.

1999 and newer F250/350 Super Duty have metric wheels. Look for a 1975/2013 E350 w/a Dana 70. No Econoline of any year has metric wheels.

Why would I need to change to srw hubs? The truck is a dually and I bought dually wheels. I need to find a picture of a late model non super duty srw hub, as I can't remember what my 89 used to look like.

I bought some coined wheels yesterday. But if I can use the late model stuff I would rather.

Thanks again for all the help, it is greatly appreciated.

When you said in post 1 that you wanted to convert to late model single piece wheels I thought you meant SRW's (single rear wheels).
