99 F-259 7.3 ( Just cut off )

Today, I started my truck to move it out of the way. It started fine and ran for about five min. I was going to let it run while I fueled up a trackhoe. While fueling the machine the truck just cut off. It was like someone just cut the key off. I didn't have time to check with the AE. I have a fuel gauge that is hooked up at all times. Fuel pressure is good. It will turn over but no start. I will check it tomorrow and let yall know. Anybody have any ideas ? Thanks

1. Check your fuses. If one is blown, it will be the PCM fuse. Replace it, unplug the fuel bowl heater element and restart.

2. Check oil level. Add if low.

3. Check for fuel pressure by turning key to ON (dont start) and open the drain valve.

4. Check electrical connections. Check in the engine bay and, if you have a chip, the PCM.

5. Inspect IPR and ICP connectors for oil. If oil is present, replace the unit.

6. Check both sides of the UVCH connectors.

I think I got everything. Oh yeah, change your CPS

7. Try in neutral
8. Inspect wiring harness at DS VC and DS shock tower
9. Inspect OD switch wiring at shifter pivot location.

I've run out of fuel at a quarter tank before doing the tank mods..be sure your fuel level is above that,if not add some. And Trey is right..but if the #30 fuse is blown, unplug the fuel bowl heater "before" you replace the fuse..sorry Trey

Update >> I have RPM readings with the engine off. I ran a buzz test and the truck aborted it. Now it will not let my AE or my ford machanics tester work. We think it may be the PCM. I ran out of day light. Thanks guys. I will keep yall updated.

I got the truck running. I tryed everything. I had another truck for parts. Finally I replaced the ICM (Under the fender well). Two new batteries and she hit. So, if you have rpms and the engine is off or no scanner will work or if it will run for 5 sec and cut off, ICM. Thanks guys for your input. Pass it on. (Steve)
