You are right, that area has become a METROPOLITAN area...
I used to drive a truck for WM and when I started in 1985, there was NO easy way to get there...Boston mountain or go through Salisaw,Gentry, Centerville, so forth..

I've been through there a couple of times...but it's been years. In a former career I was one of those steering wheel holders as well...delivered some machinery (excavator & dozer) to a cell phone tower site there in Norman.
