2008 and up wheel and tire combo pics.

I am trying to decide on to go with 18" wheels with 35" tires or 20"wheels with 35"s

I have a 2012 so trying to get an idea on how it looks on the newer body style trucks. I have been looking through the Super Duty pic thread and have not really found what I am looking and trying to look for it with a 100+ pages is dizzying.

I thought it may just be easier narrowing it down to the newer body style trucks.

Please post up your pics and wheel and tire combo....also if you are lifted I plan on doing a 2.5" lift and 35"s just cant decide on 18" or 20" wheel

2008 F-250
3.5" Readylift SST Suspension Lift
20" XD Series Crank Flat Black
37"x12.5" 20R Nitto Trail Grappler MT

Cant seem to upload a photo, but it is in my garage if you can look there. IMO if you go with 18's you are gonna look at it long enough that you will wish for the 20's. on such a large setup you dont want the tire to overpower the wheel, i think 20's would be perfect for what you are wanting and looking for.

You don't need a lift for 35x12.50's on '05 and newer trucks.

On the front it will rub like hell without the 2.5" level though, and the level kits are cheap and easy to install and make it look way better.

I personally know and have seen in person 6 different trucks '05 and newer with 35x12.50 tires that do not rub. No lift, no trimming, no problems. Back spacing is the key.

yeah I think you are correct 20"s would probably look best on such a big truck.

I plan to only run the 2.5" leveling kit just for the looks...plus the price is right at $600 and it can be done in a few hours in the driveway. I dont know why they call it a leveling kit since it lifts the truck i the front and the rear....my truck sits pretty damn level to begin with only.75" difference from front to back.

That would be my second question......

What back spacing is the correct one? I love the look of the "deep dish" or "big lip" of the wheel however you want to call it.

As I mentioned before the 2.5" lift is just to get it up a lil just for looks I have also heard 35"s will go on stock suspension without problems.

3 of the 6 trucks were using factory 20" wheels, the others had aftermarket wheels. Not sure of the back spacing on the aftermarket wheels but they did not stick past the factory fender flares.

IMO if you space them out you will need fender flares or bushwackers, keeps it looking awesome and also keeps rock chips from chopping the paint on your doors when tires throw rocks

And like jmhatchet said, it needs flares. You can see in that pic how far the wheels stick out, thus a lift is necessary. Rocks would chip the paint in no time. With factory backspacing you would not need a lift but might have that "stuffed" look.

Yes that is exactly the look I am going for!

I do also plan on a set of the Bushwacker pocket style flares painted to match the truck

Now I just need to decide if I want chrome or gloss black wheels or a combo aluminum and gloss black
