I'm looking for a zf 4x4. checked the market and didnt find anything. Looking for something in the utah, colo, wyo, idhao, and surrounding areas. If anyone knows of anything please pm me

I searched high and low for mine, when i finally found one at a decent price and installed it, it kicks out of reverse. make sure when u find one used it checks out good. I found another one luckily but havent swapped it yet.

I don't know anything about manuals are the bell housings interchangeable? here is one near Denver for a 460 4x4. I can take a look at it for you if you are interested. P.M. me.

The 460 one can be made to work. Just take the IDI trans adapter off the engine and use it as a guide to drill out the 4 holes that don't line up.

There's guys both here and on OBN that have thousands of miles on just such a setup.

Mac, some bellhousings are, such as my T-19 four speed. The ZF5 however, is an integral bellhousing.

No the 460 or gasser 5 speeds will not fit the diesels. They are form molded bell housings. My cousin is wanting one for a 7.3 and I want one for my truck

On top of what otahyoni is saying. Ive heard people that have the gasser trans say the gear spacing works out better for the diesel
