Freestyle CVT filter change

Is it just me or does the Motorcraft HP filter on the CVT seem inadequate? I replaced the factory high pressure one with a Motorcraft one and it was WAY different. Seems the factory one is metal with a metal screen and the Motorcraft is plastic with paper element. Everything is working fine (knock on wood) so far and I was just curious if anyone else had noticed this.

The filters are different but I have never had an issue with the Motorcraft parts. Pat yourself on the back for changing the filter, most people never do.
