glow plug relay, not understanding
Hey guys, I'm not understanding this, I've read the top posts, and still, all wires hooked up and connections are good, all the glow plugs are good, I'm getting feed to both small posts on relay bit only one of the big post, not sure if its the ignition feed or what, but why isn't this bitch cycling??!!!!

'88 should be the new system.
How long does the WTS light come on when the engine is cold?
You should see 12v to both small terminals on the relay anytime the key is on. Power comes in from the key to one of the small terminals, and goes through the relay to the other small terminal. (this is the control circuit for the relay). The white wire on the 2nd small terminal goes to the controller, and the controller connects that to ground to energize the relay. When the relay is energized, it connects the 2 large terminals together. You can test the relay by disconnecting the white controller wire from the 2nd small terminal, turning on the key, and connecting a jumper from ground to the terminal where the white wire was. (only do this for a few seconds at a time...) The relay should click on, and you should have power at both large relay terminals. (you'll have less than 12v, as the glow plugs will be on and draining power...)
If this all works, but it doesn't work when the controller is hooked back up, and the controller wiring is correct, especially the black controller ground, then I'd say the controller is bad.
