CA smog requirements for '77 F150 plated in WA

I am looking to buy a mid to late 70's F100, F150 or F250.

I live in CA.

I have found several trucks of this era in good shape for sale from Washington state. However, any gasoline vehicle made from 1976 and on must pass CA smog requirements.

Is there anything I can do to reassure myself that a mid to late 1970's F100, F150 or F250 bought from a state outside of CA will pass CA smog requirements?
