1992 F150 302 cam swap 351
Hey guys,
I have a 1992 F150 and I recently rebuilt the motor and put in a 351w cam in a 302 to get a little more power. I've run into some problems since then. I remapped the distributor and tried firing the truck up and it ran real rough and like crap so I read on the internet I needed to get a new ECU. So when I swapped those out I fired it up and it ran alot smoother. However, after about 30-60 seconds the truck just shuts off... Then I can't get it to fire back up until the next day and it does the same thing. I've replaced pretty much every sensor. MAP, Coolant temp, Oil pressure, IAC, pretty much anyone I could think of. The injectors are brand new. The fuel pump is about a year old but it still has plenty of pressure at the fuel rail. All new ignition except for wires but they're only about a year or so old and they're MSD 8.5's.
Could low coolant cause these problems? Because I tried to only put minimal amount in so it wouldn't burn the motor up but I just put a new jug in last night and now my truck won't fire at all. Not even on one cylinder but it is like 10 degrees here so I don't know if that would affect anything. Like I said, I have no idea what it could be and I've tried pretty much everything. So help please? And thank you in advance to any
