Where does this wire go ????

I know it's not Ford but it's the only Alt I had laying around. I'm too cheap to go get a new one. I think the white wire goes to the switch, But I'm not sure which post on the switch. I ran the red wire to the Alt post and added the black wire from the amp gauge. The other side of the amp gauge goes to the battery. And the green wire was grounded. I do not want to hook up the battery until I know the wires are in the right place.

Which post will the white wire attach too?

white wire goes thru the "GEN" light then over to the key switch on the run position, just check it with a test light to get the right terminal, it's the term that runs the gauges, coil etc. but doesn't light up in the "acc" position
for a simple wiring diagram of the alt itself just do a quick google for "delcotron wiring diagram."
