I take that it must of had some rust issues around the rain gutters then.

Yes, here is a link to the build thread. Keep in mind that I had a $3500 budget to make the f600 a freeway friendly diesel truck, so after a 18 months of saturdays I stayed under budget and have been driving it at least once a week

I have no plans to paint it. I like that it looks like an unrestored 50yr old truck.

Yep it had way too much to save the old top. It has a fiberglass top now. Been on there for almost 20 years and 42,000 miles.

9teen, I really like what you did to your 56! My plans are similar but have to live with the patina for a while. I enjoy driving it a lot and it is hard to want to take it apart just yet.....so I am working on the other trucks instead. But it is inspirational to see one done nicely.

Thanks, I've always liked yours, it was my desktop picture for the longest time when it was still in flat black. Looks great in orange as well.
