I am looking for info on a 1978 Ford B600 or B700 school bus. The front seal of the auto transmission is leaking. I am trying to find out what transmission this vehicle has so I can order a new seal. The vehicle is parked in storage so I can't just go and look for numbers on the transmission. All I have is a photo of the transmission with a partial view of the oil pan patern. I was told this bus may have the same body as a 1978 F600 or F700 truck. Unfortunately googling these makes have provided me with no info that I can use. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

I'm believe the automatics in the HD rigs are Allisons, but beyond that I don't know much about them.

You'd have better luck posting it in this section: Large Truck - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums the guys up there are much more familiar with the bigger rigs.
