Rough idle- rough driving

07 expedition has rough idle. Just happened out of nowhere. Slow acceleration rough driving. Rpms seem low when going 70. What could it be?

DIY fix is the least expensive . Plugs , boots , perhaps a coil or two . Price varies too much for me to say . $3 to 8 per plug , Boots ? Coils $ 35 to $100 each . Get your codes , tackle those first . Go from there . Buy a cheap code reader at least . Then if you have your work "done" you at least know you aren't gettin screwed !

With a Chiltons , Haynes , or a buddy with a twelve pack ,, easy! You need to do some research before trying . Not so hard , but a few things to watch for . A " newby " can do it . Just research it first ! Good luck .

A severe miss can cause damage . Fore an example , I just did $1200 worth of work on a Toyota because of a misfire . Ford is better about protecting engines , BUT , ! I do not advise driving any distance with a miss.

Guess I'm the only guy responding to you . Sorry . Multi miss . Ck fuel press , filter exct . Ck for vac leaks . Could have dropped a few coils ? wiring ? don't see a lot of harness issues on these or sudden multi coil ,plug failures . Ck fuel quality . Maybe a tank of bad fuel or E85 , if not a flex fuel . Jersey had a problem last year with too much Ethenol in the fuel from one distributor .

I just think its weird that the ck engibe light will go from blinking to i bein solid then back to blinking. When i blinks i will rough idle and run horrible. Whn its solid itll run better bu still buckle a little bit
