First time F-150 owner checking in!

Hello,

Like the thread says I just bought a 2013 Fx4 2 days ago, I havent gotten it yet, it comes in on monday, but I am super excited. I'm no stranger to the ford truck as I have owned and loved 2 broncos an 89 and a 95. So rundown on me I'm almost 26 and I work for amazon in shipping and logistics. My 95 bronco had about 150k on the clock and I have been looking to get into a new truck. I wanted at least 7k for my truck in trade in and I didn't stop till I got it. I have a 40k msrp 2013 fX4 which I walked out the door with for 28k. Excelent looking truck cloth seats (black) with a tow package, and a bunch of other goodies. I do alot of towing of my race car and other odds and ends, so motor was important to me as well as price. I got mine with the 5.0 in it, after reading on these forums I didn't see much of a difference in motors so I figured why pay more for something I could easily build at home right?

Anyway really looking forward to getting the truck and I'll post up some pics when it rolls into the dealer on monday.

C-ya!

Kris

Welcome to the Missouri Chapter, Kris!

It sounds like you got a super nice truck. I can't wait to see the pictures. I'm not sure how to handle a new truck, so I'll keep Alice as my daily driver. ('79 1/2 ton 4x4)

Don't forget to stop in the monthly B.S. thread and say, "Hi."

Kris welcome to the Missouri FTE chapter, and yes by all means stop on by the monthly chat forum, just click the link and go there.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...bs-thread.html

We just got back form a road trip to Colorado and had a blast driving our rental 2013 Ford crew cab 4x4.

It is a awesome handling truck and a powerhouse to say the least for a CC 4x4 truck, never got to hook a trailer to it, but I imagine it will tow out just fine.

Once again welcome to FTE.

Update;

The truck has been in since monday and I have been driving it too and from work, simply put I love it. Sound system is great, and I finally got the pandora app to work with ford sync. I have put about 600 miles on the truck and my only complaint is that there is a squeaking sound coming from the truck while it is in park. It's intermittent and it kinda sounds like a pulley, but it's coming from the middle of the truck. I would really like to get the bed a spray in liner but I havent been able to track down somewhere to do it yet for a good price.

SO far the truck is driving great and I love the 19mpg im getting compared to the 10 of my bronco. Really it is a nice truck.

I've been looking at exhausts and wheels and tires, but I'm gonna wait for a bit before doing any reall money dropping on it.

Like the wheels on it. When did FORD go to 6 lugs on a ½ ton?

No idea but I was upset I couldn't keep the 5 lug western mag wheels I had on my bronco. I'm kinda upsetabout that since there iisn't another wheel like em on the market.

I just picked up my daughter at school and there was an F150 parked in the parking lot with, get this, .... SEVEN lug nuts. I thought I was seeing things until I got out and walked up to it. Then I counted the lugs two more times. Yup. seven.
