Edelbrock Performer 1405 600CFM Carburetor and Summit 850021 Distributor

Category: Engine - Intake/Fuel
Price: $150
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): GA
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped
Engine: Part suitable for gas truck
Part fits:: older-1947, 1961-1966, 1973-1979

For Sale:

Edelbrock Performer #1405 600 CFM Carburetor. Used. Freshly rebuilt, installed on my 1978 LTD, and it now has 100 miles on the fresh re-build (new fuel filter being used just prior to the carb). This is a manual-choke model (an inexpensive push-pull choke cable can be purchased at any auto parts store). I much prefer the reliability and control of manual choke over electric choke on old carbed V-8's.

$165.00 SHIPPED to the continental United States. PayPal payment accepted. PM me for PayPal address. These are $289 when new.

Generic Edelbrock photo of this particular model:

I am ONLY selling it because my build is aggressive enough now that I need 630 or so CFM as I approach 6,000 RPM, so this carb is slightly too small for me now.

If purchased this week, it will be shipped on Saturday January 26th.

Post DIBS here in this thread. First public DIBS gets it, PMs and e-mails take second priority.

Just so you trust I re-built it:

You can see I am very meticulous; trust it is re-built correctly to factory specifications (including perfect float-height) and runs strong!:

Here it was mocked-up after the re-build:

Also:

Summit racing SUM-850021 distributor. This distributor is brand-spanking new (never run). I really wanted to use it, but it did not work with my A/C compressor. I installed it an d mocked it all up, but again, it has never had the engine started with it. This is an HEI style distributor, and has a simple one-wire hook-up! I am throwing in an electrical connector that plugs right into it at no additional charge.

It does have 1-8 written on the cap in black Sharpie - can probably be wiped off if desired.

$125.00 SHIPPED in the continental USA. As above, Post DIBS here in this thread. First public DIBS gets it, PMs and e-mails take second priority. I can ship anytime after Monday the 21st if purchased. PayPal payment accepted, PM me for address.

Looks like this:

Summit Racing® Blueprinted HEI Distributors SUM-850021 - SummitRacing.com

I would return it to Summit, but I am outside the return window, so someone on here gets a deal.

Fits 289/302/351M/400 Windsor / 335 series...but check Summit racing to make sure it fits your application.

Mocked up on my engine:

Selling because of this A/C compressor clearance issue on my particular build: (Where the fill nipple on the A/C hits the vac advance):
